> C programming and life update
(12/16/2025), 2 minute read ⏰
It's been a while since I last wrote a blog, mainly because of being a huge uni slave and grinding away in preparation for final exams. To that end, my first semester is in fact over, and I can now go back to living a stable, somewhat healthy life.
Now, despite being a self-proclaimed "uni slave", I've been doing a fair bit of projects on the side (including this blog of course). I've continued reverse engineering practice and published some notes/writeups for crackmes and tutorials I've done! If you couldn't tell as well, I have migrated my website and active projects over to Codeberg, which was not at all hard because of the incredibly migration tool Codeberg gave us.
Over the past few months, I've slowly drifted away from doing cybersec projects in my free time before. Labs are basically the only project I "enjoyed" doing and making tools is not something I'm looking to do since I do not work professionally/haven't faced a need that could be solved by a tool. Because of this, I decided to transition into some programming. I had been learning C during my semester at uni, so why not dive a bit more into it?
This led to a few neat projects and toy programs, which I've compiled into one mega repository, called the C-playground. The README of the repo contains enough info for what is available there, but put simply, there are a lot of toy programs and projects there like a toy shell and a Lisp, which I am still developing.
I'll basically be grinding away at my Lisp for the next while, but after that, I'm unsure what to do. I do plan to publish a proper reverse engineering blog (on analyzing some real world sample) before the end of the school year, so keep an eye out for that!
That's all I have to talk about today. Thanks for reading, and have a good rest of your day!
